Zoey Turns 2!!!

Zane is already telling secrets and making the girls laugh. Watch out Mom...you have a real heartbreaker on your hands!

Zoey's Party with friends!

Sophie clinging to Mom's leg.

Trey holding Dad's hand.

Before you know it...they will let go of Mom and Dad and gain that independence that we look forward to and dread at the same time.

First time down the slide!

This past week was a big one at the Dellinger House. We celebrated Zoey's 2nd birthday on Thursday , July 24....complete with a new "park" (silent "r" when pronounced by Zoey) and a birthday party. I forgot how fun it is to plan a toddler party. We chose to celebrate at where else...but the Maiden Municipal Park...her favorite place to play. I am including lots of photos because they say more than my words ever could! What a blessing God bestowed upon us with this "little angel". I say that lovingly now becuase I remember all too clearly what is around the corner...The Terrible Two's!!! The time when angels become possessed by demons! Ha! Ha! Enjoy the smiles of children...

Carowinds

On Wednesday, July 16, I took Ethan, Adam, Mikayla and Madison to Carowinds. We had a great time - despite the heat of summer. The kids and I took the blunge and rode "Drop Zone". Oh my gosh, what an adrenaline rush. You truly experience free fall and that moment in which you do not feel gravity. Glad we did it, but it was a "first and last" for me. My body and heart can't take that kind of rush too often! Ha! Ha! I still love all those rollercoasters. We rode everyone of them. Top Gun ( now the AfterBurn) is still my favorite!!!

We spent the afternoon at the water park. I enjoyed myself as I lounged by the Wave Pool. At their age, they are able to stand in those long water slide lines by themselves. Trust me young mothers, there will come a time that you will see your hard work pay off. As sad as it is to see them grow up, I love the fact that I can see them stand on their own two feet and make WISE decisions. That is the continuous theme of children's church and I see it in the lives of my kids every day. I am so blessed!!

Although handing out at Carowinds all summer is not my idea of a good time, I sure do enjoy being with my kids!!! And to think that I use to work every summer and miss this time with my children when they were younger. Boy how God can change your priorities and make you see what is really important!

Monkey Joe's

Today was a total blast! The kids and I went to Monkey Joe's with the play group form church. There were 14 kids total. I was so surprised at how well they all played together. Mikayla had a great time playing with Tyler Goodson. She kept talking about how he just took up with her and wanted her to play with him. Ethan, as usual, had a gang of "little followers" as they repeatedly went down the inflatable slide. Zoey played so hard. She got right in there with the big kids. She was not about to let them out do her. She came home and crashed on the sofa with Ethan. He is in heaven...he just loves for her to "snuggle" with him. I treasure these days with my kids. They are certainly the highlight of my summer. We have a softball game this evening, so photos will be inserted at a later date. I am headed to Carowinds tomorrow with Ethan and Mikayla. We purchased season tickets and they each selected a friend to purchase tickets with them. This will be our 2nd summer visit. I hope it is not blazing hot!!

Summer Vacation

Just sitting here in a silent house on a beautiful Saturday morning. We, busy moms, don't get this opportunity often. I can actually hear the voice inside of my head!! Just wanted to share a few summer photos of the Dellinger 5. Well, actually 4 of the 5...since I am always taking the photos.

"Woodpile!!"

Here are a few VBS photos to enjoy!
